Job Description
  • We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing multiple translation and localization projects from receipt to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with clients to assess and agree on project parameters and requirements.
  2. Assess project scope to select appropriate vendors and negotiate deadlines effectively.
  3. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with freelance and in-house linguists globally.
  4. Monitor and manage project status to anticipate and prevent issues.
  5. Accurately complete project finances, including quoting and budgeting.
  6. Prepare and maintain project documentation and information.
  7. Understand and adhere to the Quality Management System.
  8. Comply with relevant procedures and SOPs.
  9. Assist in maintaining linguistic assets such as glossaries and style guides.
  10. Ensure high quality for all projects through QA checks.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the Language Services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in linguistics, business, or scientific fields.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain high quality standards.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently using initiative.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Experience with TMS and CAT tools; familiarity with XTRF and/or memoQ is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
  • Experience in multilingual quality control or related fields.
  • Native or fluent Japanese skills are highly sought after.
