Aboriginal Cultural Programs Coordinator

Program Coordinator role is a key opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal people and communities. We are seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to coordinate and monitor program activities for the Yawal Mugadjina Cultural Mentoring Program.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate delivery of Yawal Mugadjina Cultural Mentoring Program across Victorian Prison system.
- Liaise with Elders and Respected Persons and prison locations to schedule Yawal Mugadjina prison visits each month.
- Lead coordination of quarterly training activities for Elders and Respected Persons.
- Travel required across multiple prison locations statewide.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal Community, society, culture, and issues impacting it.
- Able to communicate competently and sensitively with members of Victorian Aboriginal community.
- No relevant tertiary qualification required - experience dealing with complex needs of Aboriginal people and community highly desired.
