Aboriginal-led Case Conferencing is a program that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community.

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced professional to deliver this program with cultural sensitivity and expertise.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Aboriginal societies and cultures, as well as experience working in the statutory child protection service system.
  • This role requires a proven ability to build authentic relationships with Aboriginal families, respect their unique circumstances and cultural needs, and collaborate with elders, community leaders, and extended family networks.
About You
  • You should have a demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and a strong background in case management and advocacy.
  • In addition, you should possess a Certificate, Diploma, and/or Degree qualification in Community Services or a relevant field, and hold a Working with Children's Check and Victorian Driver Licence.
Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone who can develop comprehensive care plans that prioritize cultural connection and family preservation.
  • This involves convening and facilitating case conferences with cultural sensitivity and expertise, and collaborating with community networks to achieve positive outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.
