Key Position Overview
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced professional to fill a pivotal role as National WHS Manager. In this position, you will work closely with General Managers, Branch Managers, and Operations Managers to support delivery of agreed WHS Strategic Goals.
Responsibilities- Ensure the Oceania WHS program is 'fit for purpose' in Australia, meeting country specific legal requirements and maintaining ISO45001 certification.
- Partner with the WHS Advisor to oversee the accuracy and effective use of the Oceania WHS database for Australian entities, ensuring compliance with KPIs and workflows.
- Analyse WHS data and assurance findings to carry out data trend analysis and prepare performance and governance reports, providing insights and solutions for continuous improvement.
- Support, coach and mentor managers to understand the contents of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) and their application in practice, ensuring implementation to everyday operations with confidence and success.
- Identify, develop and deliver WHS training and awareness materials and programs to strengthen understanding and capability across all levels of the business.
- Facilitate effective worker engagement and consultation forums, encouraging participation, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct independent verification activities under the 3 lines of defence model, supporting management in driving continuous improvement.
