
Strategic Workplace Relations Expert

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract and can be based in Melbourne or Sydney with hybrid work arrangements available.
- The role will assist the Head of Industrial Relations & Policy in executing a strategic and consistent workplace relations approach across the business.
- The candidate must interpret and apply industrial instruments, legislation, and company policies to implement changes necessitated by law reforms, Award, and enterprise agreement updates.
- The successful applicant will support enterprise bargaining and change management processes as well as maintain internal resource libraries relevant to workplace relations.
- The person must provide timely and accurate reporting, and support guiding, coaching, and advising on all matters related to workplace relations.
- They will also work constructively with business leaders and union officials to support resolution of industrial matters.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to People Directors, People Partners, and business leaders on industrial matters.
- Additionally, they will assist in growing capability across the business in workplace relations via planning, coordinating, and delivering workshops, seminars, and other structured learning and development activities.
- The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and best practice in workplace relations.
- The person will contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need
- Tertiary graduate or post-graduate degree in Law, Human Resources, Industrial Relations/Workplace Relations or related degree.
- Proven capability in workplace relations contributing to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
- Experience in improving the capability of others in resolving workplace relations issues.
- Able to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior leaders, technical and functional specialists, business facing People-team Heads of and Partners, operational and line managers.
- Proven ability to convert information and data into knowledge, and to communicate that knowledge in a meaningful and useful way.
- Ability to manage and prioritise competing demands with a client-focused and outcomes-centered approach.
