Job Summary

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking an experienced Equity Settlements Associate to join our client's Sydney team on a 5-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all Equity Settlement activities across the local market, including Listed Derivatives cash control and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile Client Asset accounts, including Trust accounts, to ensure accurate and timely settlements.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and risk management protocols.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement fails, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Process margin movements for Listed Derivatives, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely settlements.
  • Reconcile domestic stock positions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, business units, IT, and operations teams, to facilitate timely trade settlements.
  • Liaise with Local Agents to ensure timely trade settlements, as required on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with Trade Support and Client Service groups to resolve trade-related queries and settlement issues.
  • Facilitate the settlement of Stock Lending Transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with market rules and regulations, working within established risk parameters to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • HSC (or equivalent) qualification.
  • 2-6 years' experience in equity settlements, preferably with a global investment bank.
  • Further education in a related financial discipline is an advantage.
