About the Role

  • As a Community Partnerships Lead, you will be responsible for strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder management, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders.
  • You will facilitate consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, leading to improved service delivery and community outcomes.
  • The role also involves leading and coordinating Council's volunteer management portfolio, resulting in increased volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to developing and delivering plans, including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and internal teams.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community wellbeing initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use relevant management systems and tools to manage volunteer programs and community partnerships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
