Community Outreach Specialist

Palliative care plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with life-limiting illnesses. At our organization, we provide specialist palliative care services free of charge to cater to people of all ages in various regions.

The Role

The Community Outreach Specialist is instrumental in elevating our presence and reputation within the community. This involves coordinating and evaluating volunteer programs, building strong relationships, and ensuring seamless access to palliative care services for clients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program coordination and evaluation
  • Volunteer program management
  • Community engagement and fundraising
  • Project management
  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership development

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work comfortably with stakeholders from various settings, and experience in program development, implementation, and review.

They should also have prior experience in recruitment and selection techniques, performance assessment, and providing constructive feedback. Additionally, they should be proficient in using digital and social media platforms to drive community fundraising initiatives and communicate effectively through various channels.

They must be able to develop impactful communications, create engaging content, and foster collaborative working arrangements with relevant services and organizations.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in program coordination or team management
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and review
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite and clinical electronic databases
  • Able to work autonomously and show initiative
