The Role

This Information Security Officer position is part of our Business Services group, supporting the connection of security initiatives to compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist information security advice to stakeholders;
  • Perform information security audits and risk assessments;
  • Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures;
  • Ensure information security policies and procedures are up-to-date and aligned with regulatory requirements;
  • Coordinate with IT, Security Operations, and business stakeholders on technical security issues;
  • Participate in crisis management and security incident response teams to identify, investigate, remediate, and report security breaches and potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Security Risk or Analyst role;
  • Broad knowledge and experience across governance, risk, and compliance, and various information security domains;
  • Fundamental understanding and awareness of information security frameworks, such as ISM, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001;
  • ISACA, AISA, or ISC2 membership preferred;
  • Experience in performing technical investigations into computer-based events, user behavior, or devices;
  • Ability to collect, present, and analyze security-related information;
  • High level of personal integrity and professionalism;
  • Attention to detail and ability to see activities through to completion.

Security Clearance:

This role requires Defence security clearance, which necessitates being an Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance.
