Expert Claims Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Management Specialist to lead our Insolvency Claims team.
The ideal candidate will possess significant claims expertise and a strategic approach to manage a critical portfolio of insolvent claims.
This role involves leading, coaching, and developing the team to provide a positive client experience and timely resolution.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholders with a strategic approach to delivering effective communication to clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a team of direct reports and ensuring compliance with statutory timeframes and policies.
- Providing guidance and advice through ongoing mentoring throughout the team.
- Proactively managing the capability and performance of claims service providers.
- Developing and maintaining claims policies, guidelines, processes, and audit control mechanisms.
- Strategically verifying and evaluating information to enable accurate assessment, review, and determination of liability and quantum on claims.
The Claims Management Specialist will work closely with the Head of DBI Claims to actively manage and contribute to the development of new and existing claims services, business practices, and product offerings.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management, assessment, and settlement of a portfolio of claims, delivering client-focused recovery solutions that restore confidence and build a more resilient Victoria.
