About the Role

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pastoral Care Coordinator to join our team at St Francis, a 48-bed home providing exceptional care to residents. As a Pastoral Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that residents receive spiritual care and support that meets their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective pastoral care services to residents and their families, including spiritual support and counseling.
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized pastoral care plans for residents.
  • Conduct weekly Ecumenical Church services to support residents of all faiths.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and well-being.

Requirements

  • Background and qualifications in Pastoral Care or Counseling (Clinical Pastoral Education, Theology, or Spirituality).
  • Previous experience in an aged care environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate Catholic Healthcare's values of compassion, courage, and integrity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
