Bushfire Mitigation Coordinator

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bushfire Mitigation Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating bushfire mitigation strategies and education programs for rural and semi-rural communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of bushfire mitigation strategies and activities across the district.
- Manage the Fire Warden network and oversee appointments, induction, training, and dispute resolution.
- Support bushfire risk data management through identification of trends, patterns of non-compliance, suspicious fire activities, and issues in the district.
- Work closely with stakeholders to build robust bushfire mitigation networks in the community.
Requirements:
- Proven commitment to maintaining bushfire competencies and operating in a regional team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from rural and remote communities.
- Strong linkages with the Bushfire Mitigation unit and ability to work collaboratively with Area, District, and Regional stakeholders.
