**Job Title:** Bushfire Mitigation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bushfire Mitigation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ), you will play a critical role in supporting the prevention and mitigation of bushfires across the state.
**Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing bushfire mitigation strategies and education programs across the district. This will involve working closely with stakeholders at all levels, including local communities, emergency services, and government agencies.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing bushfire risk management plans;
  • Coordinating and delivering education and training programs to support community bushfire preparedness;
  • Working with emergency services and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination during bushfire events;
  • Providing technical advice and support to fire managers and other stakeholders on bushfire risk management and mitigation strategies.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive experience in bushfire risk management and mitigation;
  • Strong leadership and project management skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities;
