Rural fire management is a critical component of our strategy to protect communities and the environment. We are seeking an experienced bushfire mitigation specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to our rural fire service. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce bushfire risk across the district.
  • As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas of high bushfire risk and develop targeted plans to mitigate these risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement bushfire mitigation strategies across the district.
  2. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and address bushfire risk areas.
  3. Provide expert advice on bushfire mitigation and risk reduction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as fire science, environmental science or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in bushfire mitigation and risk reduction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
