Import Operations Coordinator

Overview:

As an Import Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of import and export freight forwarding. This includes overseeing shipments, communicating with carriers and clients, handling documentation, and ensuring goods move efficiently across air, sea, and road.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee shipments from arrival to delivery, including coordination with shipping lines, airlines, transport operators, and customs brokers
• Monitor shipments, resolve delays, ensure compliance, and provide excellent customer service
• Enter and maintain shipment data in freight systems, support invoicing, costing, and reconciliations

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• 2-3+ years' experience in international freight forwarding (air and/or sea - import/export)
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and shipping documents
• Freight forwarding system experience (Expedient preferred/CargoWise One)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
