Financial Analyst Role

The role of Financial Analyst is a key position within the organisation, responsible for managing financial data and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and monitor product costs, raw materials, and overheads to ensure accurate standard costing.
  • Prepare timely and accurate product costings, monitoring operational efficiencies and supporting strategic decision-making with recommendations on margin opportunities.
  • Conduct variance analysis to standards and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing and operational costs.
  • Perform margin analysis by product line and suggest improvements for cost efficiency.
  • Manage inventory valuation and control; work closely with warehouse and production teams.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing necessary cost data.
  • Implement and maintain cost control procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards.
  • Own plant P&Ls along with operational budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to optimise cost flows.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply chain.
  • Assist in strategy planning and business case development.
  • Own capex plans for operational and supply chain business needs.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on profitability, pricing strategies, and product cost breakdowns.
