Clinical Speech Therapist

Healthscope is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients on various wards, including ICU, CCU, surgical, rehabilitation, and oncology.
- Assess and manage dysphagia in patients with head and neck cancer or tracheostomy.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of Functional Independent Measure (FIM) assessments.
- Participate in case conferences and progress meetings with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the Allied Health Department.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Develop and implement effective discharge plans and referrals to external services.
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous clinical experience in adult Speech Pathology in an acute hospital setting.
- Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and positive approach to work.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and work independently.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop skills.
- FIM accreditation.
