Operational Risk Manager

As a strategic risk management professional, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the risk and compliance capabilities of our operations.

This position involves leading and owning risk assessments for business and product change initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with our Change Management Risk Standard.

You will be responsible for advising on emerging risks and control implications, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks to our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure to operational and compliance risks.
  • Lead structured root cause analysis and resolution planning for incidents, as well as performing and leading proactive risk identification initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and assess controls aligned to operational and compliance risk frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive control uplift initiatives and support assurance activities.

For this role, we seek an experienced risk professional with a proven track record in operational risk and compliance. You must have expertise in control design, implementation, and assurance, as well as strong communication and advisory skills.

The ideal candidate will possess resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.

Tertiary qualifications in risk, business, or related disciplines are advantageous, but not essential.

  • Strong communication and advisory skills.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk, business, or related disciplines (advantageous).
