Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in leading the Central Desert Regional Council, a Local Government entity operating in the Northern Territory. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the organization's mission, vision, and values. Your primary objective will be to create a working environment that fosters exceptional customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive community development and engagement.
- Lead the senior leadership team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with elected members to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
- Provide high-level advice on financial management, risk, and compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government, industry, and community groups.
- Proven track record of leadership and team management in a similar industry or organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and representation skills.
- Contemporary knowledge of community development and engagement practices.
- Deep understanding of governance principles and ability to provide high-level advice.
- Experience in financial management, employee management, and continuous improvement.
- A competitive total remuneration package of $315,000 per annum.
