Disability Ambassador Program Facilitator

This role offers a unique opportunity to share experiences and perspectives with school-aged children, promoting social inclusion and awareness of living life with a disability.

We seek someone with lived experience of disability to deliver workshops to Australian school-aged students, equipping them with an understanding of disability awareness.

The program is designed in partnership with a charity to offer it at no cost to students in years 1 to 7.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional disability inclusion workshops to school-aged students (Years 1-7) in Sydney and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain successful relationships with schools, ensuring continued partnerships while collecting valuable teacher feedback.
  • Achieve key performance indicators related to workshop quality and evaluation feedback.
  • Represent the organization as a brand ambassador.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of living with a disability, including sharing personal stories to emphasize social inclusion.
  • Previous experience in presenting, teaching, educating, or performing; ideally to school-age groups.
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate school-aged audiences through face-to-face and digital mediums.
  • Capacity to learn and retain content for presentations.
  • Valid and current Working with Children Check required.
