About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Reliability Engineer to join our team at International Netherlands Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the resilience and reliability of our customer-facing systems with a specific focus on databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex engineering solutions to improve database performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive SRE initiatives and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential database-related issues to prevent downtime and data loss.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to our database infrastructure.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience with databases, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL and Postgres.
  • Experience with automation, capacity management, and performance management practices in the context of database systems.
  • Experience with database migration strategies and migrating complex database solutions to the public cloud.
  • Ideal knowledge of Event Driven Architectures leveraging Kafka Event Bus and Debezium / CDC.
  • Proven track record of curiosity, problem-solving, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
