Job Title:

Salary Administration Lead

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the entire payroll cycle, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of payroll systems, records, and reporting processes.
  • Leadership of payroll audits and collaboration with external auditors.
  • Resolution of complex payroll queries with clarity and confidence.
  • Partnership with Finance and HR on payroll reconciliations and reporting.
Transformation & Improvement:
  • Steering of payroll transformation projects, including system upgrades and process redesign.
  • Identification and implementation of automation and digitisation opportunities.
  • Development of clear, streamlined payroll procedures and documentation.
  • Seamless integration of payroll with broader business systems and processes.
  • Benchmarking of operations against industry best practice and driving improvement.
Compliance & Governance:
  • Ensuring full compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, tax, superannuation, and employment law.
  • Monitoring legislative changes and assessing their impact on payroll.
  • Implementation of robust controls and risk mitigation measures.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring of payroll team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Acting as the payroll subject matter expert (SME) across business projects and initiatives.
  • Building trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Clear communication of change, bringing stakeholders on the transformation journey.
