About the Role

The Relationship Manager Major Gifts is a key position within our organization, responsible for identifying, acquiring, developing, and maintaining relationships with high-value donors and philanthropists. This role is crucial in securing major financial gifts to support our strategic research and client-focused programs/services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a major gifts program to achieve individual and overall income targets.
  • Identify and research high-value philanthropic donors and prospects, both internally and externally.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospects, preparing and making donation requests, including funding proposals and presentations.
  • Provide excellent donor stewardship, including additional engagement opportunities, to increase retention and grow a sustainable major giving program.
  • Maintain accurate relationship-based information in our CRM system, including value, opportunities, contact, and activity planning, communications, and reporting.
About You
  • Experience in developing and implementing a major gifts program.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with excellent verbal and written communication, presenting, and promotion skills.
  • A team player with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
