Job Description

As a Bid Proposal Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by developing documents according to ASDEFCON templates. The successful applicant will have a track record working in bid teams and writing proposals as well as providing value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities.

The role includes:

  • Proven experience with defence writing standards for bids and tenders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in supporting defence bids and proposals
  • Review and interpret tender documentation
  • Estimate labour, material, and subcontractor costs
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements
  • Drive competitive pricing through data-driven analysis

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Estimating, or Project Management (highly regarded)
  • Managed multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Good understanding of Australian and international engineering/manufacturing standards
  • A detailed understanding of contracts and how they're created would be beneficial
  • Experience in preparing and delivering competitive proposals
  • Candidates must be an Australian Citizen to apply
  • There is an ITAR compliance aspect to this role
