Defence Proposal Development Specialist

This role involves providing support to the team by developing high-quality documents in accordance with established templates. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma from an Australian tertiary institution, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain expertise in defence writing standards for bids and tenders
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Support defence bids and proposals through research and analysis
- Analyse tender documentation to ensure compliance
- Estimate labour, material, and subcontractor costs accurately
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements
- Drive competitive pricing through data-driven decision making
- Qualifications in Engineering, Estimating, or Project Management (highly regarded)
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Australian and international engineering/manufacturing standards
- Have a detailed understanding of contracts and their creation
- Prior experience in preparing and delivering competitive proposals is beneficial
- Australian citizenship is required
- ITAR compliance is a key aspect of this role
