We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Junior Sommelier at our esteemed establishment.
About the RoleThe Junior Sommelier will be responsible for developing in-depth knowledge of wine, growers and suppliers. They will work closely with section staff during service, assisting the Head Sommelier with stock take and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop knowledge of wine, growers and suppliers through extensive research and training.
- Collaborate with section staff during service, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and exceptional customer experience.
- Support the Head Sommelier with stock take, maintaining accurate records and optimizing inventory levels.
- Drive sales growth by suggesting wine pairings, promoting wine education and building relationships with customers.
- Valid Victorian RSA certificate
- WSET level 2 qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working in front-of-house roles
- Excellent presentation and pressure management skills
- Able to multitask and demonstrate outstanding leadership skills
