Wine Professional Role Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertly provide wine knowledge and recommendations to customers
  • Maintain and develop wine lists with a curated selection of local, national, and international wines
  • Lead wine tastings and training sessions for staff members
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of wine production methods, regions, and vintages
  • Ensure seamless service delivery in high-pressure environments
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Sommelier or Wine Waitstaff in fine dining and/or high-volume restaurants
  • Basic knowledge of local, national, and international wines
  • Passion for wine and the industry
  • Exceptional service skills with excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Outgoing personality and genuine interest in daily operations
  • Adaptable and flexible with ability to work in high-pressure environments
  • Possess a valid Certificate of Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • WSET or CMS qualification or equivalent advantageous
  • Available to work rotating rosters including weekends and public holidays
  • Must have full Australian work rights
