Our organization seeks an experienced professional to oversee market and liquidity risk management across various businesses.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing, assessing, and managing traded market risk and liquidity risk across Fixed Income & Equities businesses.
  • They will develop key information regarding all aspects of market and liquidity risk, including oversight and assessment of trading activities.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with the development of a market risk reporting framework and VaR back testing/validation processes.
  • They will contribute to the development and delivery of risk infrastructure required for the group to undertake its activities.
  • The role requires supporting, overseeing, and independently challenging business risk-taking activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is required.
  • Experience in analyzing a range of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, credit, or FX, is essential.
  • Programming skills in CBA/Python are highly desired.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong relationship-building skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations is mandatory.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues are crucial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
