Market Risk Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to assist the Market Risk Team with the implementation and management of the Risk Framework and Strategy. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a client-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation and management of the Risk Framework and Strategy, focusing on risk identification, analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance our reputation and meet customer expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to provide policy interpretation and support in assessing market risk performance against our policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor and prepare regular reports on our performance, including credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews, and audits to our policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update credit limits of front and back office systems.
  • Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes.
  • Identify and detect exceptions in credit and market risk usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A client-centric approach and ability to multitask and work autonomously.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance, or accounting.
