Market Risk Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Market Risk Specialist to join our team and assist in the implementation and management of the Risk Framework and Strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to customers by providing timely assistance with risk assessment and reporting.
  • Work closely with various departments to provide policy interpretation on regional and local market risk policies and frameworks.
  • Collect information in a timely manner to support assessing Oceania's market risk performance against regulatory guidelines.
  • Support coordination of committees and meeting minutes.
  • Monitor and prepare regular reports on Oceania's performance on activities including credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews, and audits.
  • Maintain all middle office systems and update credit limits of front and back office systems.
  • Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes.
  • Document and update risk management systems on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Strong Excel skills working in an analytical role.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Client-centric approach.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance, or accounting.
