The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with extensive workers compensation experience or an allied health background to work with EML's specialized insurance business, Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII). We provide industry-specific workers compensation insurance to over 1600 accommodation hotels, pubs, and clubs. This portfolio offers a rewarding and challenging opportunity in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to claims teams on the claims management process, ensuring alignment with applicable legislation
- Reviewing and providing feedback on current claims management practices and procedures, identifying emerging trends and implementing effective management strategies
- Developing and implementing proactive injury management strategies, leveraging relevant resources to manage claim scenarios
- Offering specialist injury management coaching and one-on-one support to team members on claims management strategies and treatment approvals
- In collaboration with the Team Leader, identifying, developing, and implementing effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance indicators and remuneration measures
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
- Proven technical expertise within the workers compensation scheme
- Experience in injury management within a fast-paced workers compensation environment
- Strong experience in claims management, including work capacity, litigation, and long-term claims
- Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
- Experience in coaching and supporting others
