In this role as a Clinical Advisor - Psychologist, you will oversee the early management of workplace psychological injuries and provide expert opinions on existing strategies to support claims teams. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Physiotherapists, and other health professionals to ensure timely and effective medical management of workers' claims, facilitating recovery and return to work in line with regulatory requirements.
This permanent position is based in our Sydney office, offering a hybrid work environment with flexibility to work from home part-time. While full-time (4-5 days/week) is preferred, part-time (2-3 days/week) applicants are also considered.
Your Responsibilities- Provide early intervention and management of workplace psychological injuries.
- Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with Clinical Psychologists and GPs to improve clinical management and Return-to-Work outcomes.
- Conduct case reviews and offer expert opinions on medical strategy.
- Deliver internal training and coaching to case managers on clinical management of psychological injuries and communication with health professionals to enhance optimal medical management and support capability uplift.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology).
- Demonstrated 3+ years of clinical experience as a registered Clinical Psychologist.
- Current registration in the professional field (can be non-practising).
- Well-established knowledge of disability and psychological injury management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, preferably with demonstrated experience in workers compensation insurance.
