Injury Management Expert

The Injury Management Advisor position offers an exceptional opportunity for an allied health professional to utilize their existing clinical expertise and knowledge in a compensable injury recovery setting.
This role requires critical analysis of clinical information to advocate for best-practice treatment and timely recovery, enabling injured individuals to progress with their lives as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the claims team leader and technical advisor to foster a high-performing team delivering positive outcomes for injured people and driving shareholder value.
- Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors, including interpreting medical reports, offering injury management advice, and determining rehabilitation requirements.
- Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services, along with recommendations for future rehabilitation management.
- Provide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and contribute to claims strategy.
- Share knowledge, coach, and mentor claims advisors to develop injury management capabilities.
- Bond with external relationships with top-tier treatment and service providers to assist injured individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
- A degree in Allied Health is mandatory.
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable.
- Experience within the workers compensation scheme is highly desirable.
- The ability to utilize technology platforms to manage caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in managing difficult conversations with injured individuals, external health professionals, and legal professionals.
