This is an excellent opportunity to support Defence members and families as a Program Support Officer in a dynamic environment.

As a skilled professional, you will contribute to the delivery of a range of services, programs and resources to support ADF members and their families to manage the unique nature of Defence life. You will use your strong communication and organisational skills to contribute to Defences commitment to help ADF families balance the demands of service life with the needs of the family.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Communicate and maintain relationships with families, communities and Defence enterprise. Respond to enquiries and provide advice on programs and services.
  • Analyse program performance and impact to inform decision making.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the ADF family support environment.

This position is located within the Directorate of Community Engagement (DCE) within Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) Branch. Defence acknowledges the unique nature of family and community life in the ADF and is committed to working with ADF families to respond to their needs.

You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and maintaining a positive attitude when faced with challenges. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders while building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.

This role offers flexible, hybrid working arrangements with the opportunity to work from home on an agreed roster. Development and training opportunities are also available. Positions are based in Deakin Canberra (Free Parking).
