We're seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Bundoora Hotel. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the pass during busy service times, ensuring timely and accurate dish preparation that surpasses guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation to drive business growth.
  • Mentor and guide the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment that promotes employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and manage staff rosters to optimize kitchen operations and meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume establishment.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to drive team performance and build a positive culture.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Operational experience in achieving financial and business targets, with a track record of success.
  • Trade Cooking qualifications and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
