Job Description

As an Executive Culinary Leader, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of chefs at our upcoming premium venue in Melbourne. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency in our back-of-house operations. You will play a pivotal role in establishing the operational foundations of our new venture, guiding the team through the challenges of a new opening, and setting the stage for long-term success.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a premium a-la-carte restaurant
  • Demonstrated success in leading a high-performing team and driving business growth
  • Passion for global cuisine trends and commitment to menu innovation
  • Strong understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and compliance regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on ongoing training and education
