This is a key role for an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead allied health services and participate in clinical leadership.

About the Job
  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge and judgment to deliver high-quality patient care, including complex or atypical tasks.
  • Undertake comprehensive client assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans with clear goals.
  • Effectively manage a designated caseload with consideration for clinical priorities and time management.
  • Provide expert advice, teaching, and instruction to relatives, carers, and other professionals to promote understanding of therapy aims and ensure consistent client care.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working within community-based multidisciplinary teams, with capacity to negotiate with stakeholders, operate flexibly, and problem-solve. They will also possess advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling them to consult, negotiate, and liaise with diverse stakeholders effectively.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree qualification relevant to the professional discipline.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or other relevant registration body.
  • Minimum five years' professional experience relevant to the area of practice.
  • Completed training additional to Bachelor's degree relevant to the area of practice.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the service region.
