
Advanced Mental Health Care Professional

- Deliver quality mental health nursing care at an advanced level, utilising knowledge in professional issues for clients experiencing severe and persistent mental illness.
- Promote professional standards of practice and conduct, driving service goals and standards through contemporary mental health nursing evidence-based interventions.
- Provide clinical interventions to ensure recovery-focused and evidence-based care, coordinate the clinical management of client care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
- Current credentialing as a Mental Health Nurse through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses is desirable.
- Extensive experience working in mental health settings, managing clients with severe and persistent mental health conditions and complex needs.
- Developed communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- The ability to engage people who are hard to reach and advocate on their behalf.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, carers, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn new clinical software packages.
- Must be eligible to apply or currently hold a Blue Card.
- Must hold or be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
- Current Driver's License is required.
