Director, Urgent Care

Your new role:

As the Director, Urgent Care, you will provide senior medical leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care at the minor injury and illness centres in Eight Mile Plains and Meadowbrook. This role combines clinical practice with strategic leadership to enhance urgent care services for the community.

Lead, manage and develop urgent care services to meet community needs and align with Metro South Health's strategic priorities.

Provide expert clinical services, including participation in after-hours and weekend rosters.

Drive service improvement, clinical governance, and evidence-based research to strengthen patient outcomes

About you:

You will be an experienced medical leader who demonstrates excellence in clinical care, education, and collaborative leadership. You thrive in complex healthcare environments and are committed to patient-centred, safe and effective services.

Demonstrated high-level leadership and decision-making skills within a clinical setting.

Proven ability to foster safe, high-quality, patient-focused care through clinical governance and continuous improvement.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
