Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Port Macquarie. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and assistance with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a helping hand when needed.
  • Transport customers to appointments and social events, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their social connections.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia and other complex conditions.

What We Look For:
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is part of the role.
  • A caring and compassionate approach, with a focus on assisting our aged community to live independently at home for longer.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help when needed.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
