Position Overview

In the role of Electrical Supervisor at Ahrens, you will assume a pivotal position within our mining site trade services team, directing and managing the electrical functions at Olympic Dam. Your main goal is to guarantee the safe, compliant, and effective implementation of electrical operations while upholding Ahrens' reputation as a trusted contracting entity.

It is essential to ensure that all electrical activities adhere to relevant standards and that safety and quality protocols are strictly followed.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of electrical technicians, offering direction, mentorship, and assistance.
  • Ensure compliance of all electrical tasks with applicable Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances, and other relevant codes.
  • Skillfully interpret and analyze electrical schematics and designs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work to identify defects and ensure conformity with specifications.
  • Carry out electrical assignments in a professional and timely fashion.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) regulations.
  • Maximize the efficient use of materials, labor, machinery, and equipment.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the broader construction sector.
  • Represent Ahrens with professionalism while in uniform or operating company vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records and fulfill administrative duties associated with your position promptly.
  • Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment appropriately.
  • Understand and adhere to Ahrens' systems, policies, and procedures relevant to your responsibilities.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned.
  • Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a South Australian Electrical Licence.
  • Trade qualification in Electrical.
  • Construction Induction (Whitecard).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Class C driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work at various Ahrens Group locations as needed.
