Position Overview

The Electrical Supervisor at Ahrens is a pivotal role within our mining site services team, responsible for directing and managing electrical operations. The main goal is to guarantee the safe, compliant, and efficient performance of electrical activities while upholding Ahrens' reputation as a trusted contracting entity.

It is essential to ensure that all electrical work adheres to applicable standards and that safety and quality protocols are strictly followed.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee a group of electrical technicians, offering mentorship, guidance, and support.
  • Ensure compliance of all electrical tasks with relevant Australian Standards, Building Code of Australia (BCA), local regulations, and other pertinent codes.
  • Skillfully interpret and analyze electrical schematics and designs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work to identify defects and ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Perform electrical duties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) regulations.
  • Maximize the efficient use of materials, labor, equipment, and tools.
  • Keep updated with advancements in the broader construction industry.
  • Represent Ahrens with professionalism while in uniform or operating company vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records and fulfill administrative responsibilities promptly.
  • Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment responsibly.
  • Understand and adhere to Ahrens' systems, policies, and procedures relevant to your responsibilities.
  • Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project and Primavera P6.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid South Australian Electrical Licence.
  • Trade qualification in Electrical.
  • Construction Induction (Whitecard).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Class C driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work at various Ahrens Group locations as needed.
