Position Overview
The Electrical Supervisor at Ahrens is a pivotal role within our mining site trade services division, responsible for managing and directing electrical operations at our designated site. The main goal is to guarantee the safe, compliant, and effective performance of electrical activities while upholding Ahrens' reputation as a trusted contracting entity.
It is essential to ensure that all electrical tasks adhere to the necessary standards and that safety and quality protocols are consistently followed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee a group of electrical technicians, offering direction, mentorship, and assistance.
- Ensure compliance of all electrical activities with applicable Australian Standards, Building Code of Australia, local regulations, and other relevant codes.
- Expertly interpret and analyze electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Conduct thorough inspections of work to identify defects and ensure alignment with specifications.
- Carry out electrical assignments in a professional and timely manner.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
- Maximize the efficient use of materials, labor, machinery, and equipment.
- Keep updated with advancements in the broader construction industry.
- Represent Ahrens with professionalism while in uniform or operating company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill administrative duties associated with the role promptly.
- Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment responsibly.
- Understand and adhere to Ahrens' systems, policies, and procedures relevant to the assigned tasks.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Proficient in using MS Project and Primavera P6.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid South Australian Electrical Licence.
- Trade qualification in Electrical.
- Construction Induction (Whitecard).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Class C driver's license.
- Flexibility to work at various Ahrens Group locations as needed.
