Position Overview
The Electrical Supervisor at Ahrens is a pivotal figure within our mining site trade services division, tasked with managing and directing electrical functions at our operational sites. The primary focus is to guarantee the safe, compliant, and effective execution of electrical assignments while upholding Ahrens' reputation as a distinguished contracting entity.
It is essential that all electrical activities are conducted in accordance with applicable standards, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee a group of electrical technicians, offering mentorship, guidance, and support.
- Ensure compliance of all electrical tasks with relevant Australian Standards, Building Code of Australia (BCA), local regulations, and other pertinent codes.
- Skillfully interpret and analyze electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Conduct thorough inspections of work to identify defects and ensure alignment with specifications.
- Perform electrical tasks with professionalism and efficiency.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
- Maximize the effective use of materials, labor, machinery, and equipment.
- Keep updated with advancements in the broader construction industry.
- Represent Ahrens in a professional manner while in uniform or operating company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill administrative duties associated with the role in a timely manner.
- Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment responsibly.
- Understand and adhere to Ahrens' systems, policies, and procedures relevant to the assigned responsibilities.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a South Australian Electrical Licence.
- Trade qualification in Electrical.
- Construction Induction (Whitecard) certification.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Valid Class C driver's license.
- Flexibility to work at various Ahrens Group locations as needed.
