Job Overview

The Warehouse Team Leader at Flinders Port Holdings is responsible for overseeing and leading the daily activities within the Flinders Warehouse and Distribution (FWD) Warehouse. This role involves ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, and managing warehouse team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate key plant and coordinate with team members on operational aspects of FWD operations;
  • Responsible for instructing employees on job requirements and ensuring jobs are completed to an acceptable standard;
  • Coordinate import/export processes for bulk, packaged, palletised, and high-volume cargo;
  • Commit to ongoing safety improvements, including implementing policies and procedures for training, risk management, and injury prevention;
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, Quality, Maritime Security, and Environmental systems;
  • Conduct Job Safety and Environment Assessments (JSEAs) and participate in risk assessments for new work processes.

About You

As a successful candidate, you will have;

  • Forklift Licence (LF), Reach Stacker (RS), and Licence to perform Dogging (DG);
  • Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations and/or Frontline Management equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;
  • Experience in the logistics and transport industry;
  • Experience leading and developing teams;
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of distribution facility duties;
  • Understanding of quality control standards and taking responsibility for the quality of your work.
