**Position Summary**
Based at our manufacturing Workshop in Salisbury, the Maintenance Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of machinery and equipment through preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of manufacturing machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards during maintenance activities.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**: Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement appropriate repair solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- **Parts and Inventory Management**: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to all safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturer guidelines while carrying out maintenance tasks. Identify and address safety hazards promptly and report any incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel.
**Experience / Technical Requirements**
The position is suited to a qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment coupled with;
- Australian Mechanical Trades qualification
- At least 3 years' experience as a qualified Maintenance Fitter
- Experience in installations, repairs and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment
- Working at Heights license, EWP, and Forklift License are desirable but not essential
- Ability to troubleshoot and fault find
- Welding and machining experience
- Pneumatics and Hydraulics experience
- High level of WH&S awareness
- Availability for reasonable overtime as required
