Due to our awarded project portfolio, we are seeking experienced **SHEQ Advisor** to join our multidisciplinary team based on site at Outer Harbour, Adelaide, SA.

The position of **SHEQ Advisor** is responsible for the overview of operations and assisting the Project/Site Manager, HSE Lead with QA/QC and HSE activities onsite.

**The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible and accountable for the following**:

- Integrate Saunders International Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems. This will include retaining or developing systems that are required to address the specific nature of fabrication and construction activities.
- Ensures formal standards and regulatory codes appropriate to the organisation's needs are identified and applied.
- Ensure Safe Act Observations (SAO) and workplace inspections are being carried out in line with SI goals.
- Ensuring overall SHEQ and QA plan implementation and compliance
- Assisting SHEQ & Project/Site Manager with the preparation of SHEQ Plans, ITP’s and Checklists for projects.
- Assisting SHEQ & Project/Site Manager with the preparation of MDR’s.
- Carry out internal audits as per the company audit schedule.
- Carry out supplier/contractor audits as per the company audit schedule.
- Actively undertake SHEQ related activities in representation of Saunders International.
- Carry out Quality based activities within the scope of works during project delivery
- Ensure the My0SH system is up to date with training records of new and existing personnel.
- Ensure the My0SH Contractor Management Database is maintained current with supplier / contractor company information, performance reviews and current insurance certificates for all approved suppliers.
- Actively promote and reflect the Saunders Values of Safety, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork and Leadership.
- Perform additional duties within scope and experience as and when required.
- Assist the Company to comply with all applicable legislation related to all construction works.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Hold Welding/Boilermaking Trade Qualification or equivalent.
- Welding Supervisor qualifications ie. WTIA AS1796-10, CSWIP 3.1 (level 2) Welding Inspector.
- Have a C Class Car Licence.
- HSE Induction/White Card.
- Able to communicate effectively within the team, and with other staff.
- Be a self-starter and be able to work unsupervised.
- Ability to respond to a changing work environment.

DESIRABLE
- Internal Audit Qualified.
- External/Lead Assessor Qualified.
- NACE Painting Inspector.
- Experience in tank building industry.
- Certificate IV OHS and Training
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- AICIP / API 653 Inspector Qualified
