Civil Estimator – Project Delivery Expert

This is a challenging and varied role that involves working on civil construction projects from $5m up to $40m+. The ideal candidate will have experience in either Civil, Mining, Bulk Earthworks or a mix, and be flexible on background. Having worked on projects circa $10m or larger is highly desirable.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior / Estimator to join our business. As a key member of the preconstruction team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Working on tenders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Preparation and submission of tenders
  • Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
  • Tender negotiations
  • Coordinate tender handover to project team
  • Prepare budgets based on tender submission
  • Assess and price contract variation orders
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants

Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • 5 – 10+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
