Lead IT Scrum Master

Job Description
As an Insurance Technology Scrum Lead for Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in leading and contributing to key projects through the application of agile methodologies and stakeholder management. This position requires a strategic thinker with extensive project management and Scrum Master knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the consistent application of agile leadership capabilities through effective stakeholder and scope management, team leadership, and management of internal and external dependencies.
- Interact with stakeholders and quickly learn business objectives and project concepts, leading the team through successful incremental deployment of value-driven solutions.
- Oversee and manage each Scrum deliverable, including vendor-related deliverables for quality and completion.
- Participate in quarterly big room planning, set up JIRA boards for program increments, and manage Scrum of Scrums, remove impediments, and execute sprint ceremonies across multiple Scrum teams.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance routines, facilitating and planning meetings and ceremonies in alignment with RBC's agile framework.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SAFe agile delivery and project management experience.
- Undergraduate degree with Certified Scrum Master or equivalent certification and extensive working knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Advanced project management knowledge, including plan development, scheduling methodology, and risk assessment.
