Job Overview

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu, located in the heart of Australia, offers a unique resort experience with easy access to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park.

The lodge provides comfortable accommodations and amenities such as swimming pools, restaurants, bars, and activities like Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hotel Accountant to support and assist the Financial Controller and Finance Department in overseeing critical financial operations and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing journals and compile financial reports for senior management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and all related financial reports.
  • Prepare quarterly GST submission and manage corporate tax compilation and submission.
  • Supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Develop and deliver staff training and manage team performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum required)
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
